Better Things Selected for Inaugural Long Life Venture Builder by LSE

Singapore / London — 31 Dec 2025

Better Things, a platform reimagining residential living through community-powered services and shared experiences, has been selected to join the inaugural Long Life Venture Builder (LLVB), a prestigious global programme led by LSE Generate and the LSE Global School of Sustainability at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

The three-month venture builder supports early-stage founders tackling systems-level challenges at the intersection of longevity, healthy ageing, sustainability, and the future of work. Better Things was selected for its strong alignment with the programme’s mission and its innovative approach to transforming homes into engines of wellbeing, productivity, and community connection.

Reimagining Homes as Living Networks

Better Things is building an operating system that programmes residential estates into living networks of micro-communities. Through the platform, residents can host, book, and share services and experiences with their neighbours, activating under-utilised common areas such as function rooms, rooftops, and courtyards. These peer-powered activities span wellness, learning, caregiving, and social experiences, creating accessible pathways to healthier ageing, flexible work, and meaningful human connection—starting from home.

“At a time when people are living longer but often more disconnected lives, we believe homes should be the foundation for a more self-directed, connected, and fulfilling way of living,” said Jeanette Wu, Founder of Better Things. “Being selected for the Long Life Venture Builder is a strong validation of our thesis that the future of work, productivity, and wellbeing begins where people already live.”

Aligning with Longevity and the Future of Work

The LLVB brings together entrepreneurs, researchers, and practitioners across multiple continents to explore how longer lifespans are reshaping careers, learning, identity, and purpose. As part of the programme, Better Things will work closely with experts, coaches, and an intergenerational network to refine its model, strengthen its evidence base, and accelerate its impact.

Over the coming months, the Better Things team will focus on developing 'daily loops' for residents — integrated customised routines that is optimised for healthy ageing, social connection, and productive and supportive living within residential environments. These efforts aim to unlock value for all stakeholders: residents seeking wellbeing and community, micro-entrepreneurs looking for flexible income opportunities, and property partners seeking to activate under-utilised spaces.
