Better Things User Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using the Better Things platform (“Platform”), signing up for an account, booking any session, attending or participating in a session, or purchasing any credits or products, you (“User,” “Participant,” or “Host”) agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

1. Definitions

  • Platform: The website, web-app, and services provided by Better Things Pte. Ltd. (“Better Things,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
  • User/Participant/Host: Any individual who accesses the Platform, signs up for an account, books, attends, or hosts a session, or purchases credits or products.
  • Service Provider (SP): Any individual or entity offering sessions, services, or experiences on the Platform.
  • Session: Any service, experience, or event listed on the Platform.
  • Credits: Virtual currency that can be purchased and used to book sessions or services on the Platform.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform in any way, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

3. User Obligations

3.1 Account Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details.

3.2 Compliance with Laws: You agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations when using the Platform or participating in sessions.

3.3 Safety and Conduct: You are responsible for your own safety and conduct during sessions. You agree to behave respectfully and follow any guidelines set by the Service Provider or Host.

3.4 Booking and Payments: You agree to pay all applicable fees and charges associated with your bookings. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the session terms.

3.5 Session Changes and Cancellations: Better Things and Service Providers reserve the right to modify or cancel sessions. You will be notified of significant changes or cancellations.

4. Liability and Indemnification

4.1 Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that participation in sessions may involve risks, including injury, illness, or property damage. You participate at your own risk.

4.2 No Liability: Better Things is not liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or disputes arising from sessions, the conduct of Service Providers, Hosts, or other participants.

4.3 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Better Things, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms.
  • Your actions or omissions during sessions.
  • Any injury or damage you cause to others.

4.4 Third-Party Services: Better Things is not responsible for the services provided by third-party Service Providers or Hosts.

5. Photography and Intellectual Property

5.1 Consent for Media: We will seek your consent before taking photos or videos during sessions for marketing purposes.

5.2 Ownership of Media: All intellectual property rights for photos and videos taken by us during sessions belong exclusively to Better Things. You grant us permission to use such media for marketing and promotional purposes.

6. Use of Credits

6.1 Credits Purchase: Credits can be purchased and used to book sessions on the Platform.

6.2 Non-Refundable: Credits are non-refundable and may have expiration dates.

7. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

7.1 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

7.2 Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Singapore.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Better Things respects your privacy and will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination and Suspension

Better Things reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct detrimental to the Platform or its users.

10. Modifications to Terms

Better Things may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
